Brooktree is nestled alongside a rushing stream in a redwood grove in Pacific Palisades, a neighbor in both place and spirit to Ray Kappe's collection of homes. An extensive renovation elevated Bay Area–style architect Mario Corbett's masterpiece, expanding it to accommodate a family of four while bringing the home into an active dialogue with the surrounding landscape, designed by Terremoto.

We honored the original design while infusing it with a sense of elegance and adventure, playing off architectural plans by Jed Lind, and introducing custom furniture and lighting inspired by 1950s French and Danish design. These elements are layered with textiles, art, and collectibles by both historical and contemporary designers, including DUSK, BDDW and Dan John Anderson.
